The Turner family’s full bathroom remodel on Maplewood Court was driven by both safety and style. Their existing bathroom posed a potential hazard with a step-down shower, but EZ Bath transformed it into a modern, zero-threshold shower that’s safe, accessible, and beautiful. This comprehensive project also included updates to the bathtub, vanities, and lighting, creating a luxurious retreat tailored to the family’s needs and aesthetic preferences.

Zero-Threshold Shower: Combining Safety and Style

The most significant change in the Turner family’s bathroom was converting their old, dangerous step-down shower into a zero-threshold design. With the original shower having a step down of about one foot, it presented a clear hazard. Our team raised the flooring and installed a zero-threshold shower, making it easy to access and much safer for everyday use.

To add a unique design element, we included accent pieces around the threshold, creating a visually striking feature that separated it from standard designs. The walls were completed with 12 x 24 porcelain tiles, offering a sleek, contemporary look while ensuring the durability and ease of maintenance required for such a space.

Bathtub Remodel: A Freestanding Statement Piece

The existing bathtub was replaced with a modern freestanding acrylic bathtub, giving the space a luxurious and minimalist feel. To complement the new tub, we created a granite window sill and a stunning waterfall backdrop, which added an elegant touch to the bathing area. This combination of materials not only enhanced the aesthetics but also created a relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a long day.

One of the standout features of this remodel was the custom cherry wood-stained vanities, crafted by our master carpenter, Sheldon. We took the lighting in the Turner family’s bathroom to the next level by installing LED lights inside the crown molding. This subtle yet striking feature added a soft glow to the space, enhancing the overall ambiance of the bathroom and giving it a luxurious, spa-like feel. The custom lighting was a perfect complement to the high-end finishes throughout the room.

The flooring was a key element in the bathroom’s overall transformation. We carried the same 12 x 24 porcelain tiles used in the shower walls onto the bathroom floor, ensuring a cohesive design. To elevate the look even further, we added accent pieces around specific areas, including the center of the bathroom, creating visual interest and a sense of sophistication.
