A Spacious Walk-In Shower for the Davis Family
The Davis family’s bathroom remodel on Briarwood Drive was all about creating a luxurious and spacious walk-in shower. Their outdated bathtub and shower setup wasn’t working for them, so they turned to EZ Bath to transform the space into a stunning, modern walk-in shower. With unique design challenges and a heavy custom shower base, this project required skill, precision, and teamwork, resulting in a beautiful and functional bathroom upgrade.
Walk-In Shower: Expanding for Comfort and Style
The old bathtub and shower were removed, making room for one large, open walk-in shower. To achieve the look the Davis family desired, we installed BCI solid surface wall panels in Sandalwood. These sleek, durable panels provided a clean, modern aesthetic while being easy to maintain. For the base, we custom-built an Onyx shower pan in Safari, designed to perfectly fit the expanded footprint of the new shower.
Problems and Solutions: Tackling the Heavy Lifting
One of the biggest challenges on this project was the size and weight of the custom shower base. Weighing over 400 pounds, it took four team members to carefully maneuver the massive base into the home. Despite the difficulty, we managed to install it without a hitch, ensuring the base was perfectly positioned to accommodate the new walk-in shower.
The unique design of this bathroom, dictated by the existing layout, required careful planning and creative solutions to maximize the space. The final result was a beautifully customized walk-in shower that not only met but exceeded the Davis family’s expectations.
